Board Member

With over 30 years-experience as a construction professional, Paul’s career after graduating from Liverpool University began in the Architects Department of Liverpool City Council, where he was involved with housing schemes for the Council. Paul later worked as a Principle Officer in the City’s Housing Department, responsible for large housing regeneration projects and new build developments.

Following his departure from the Council, Paul established a construction company carrying out works for Local Authorities, Housing Associations and private developers, operating in Merseyside and the North West.

Paul entered politics in 2010 as a Labour Councillor for Wirral Council. During his eight year term he was Chair of Merseyside Pension Fund, The Northern LGP Pool and the Local Authority Pension Fund Forum representing over 80 funds with total investments of over £280bn. As a Councillor he was also a Local Authority board member for a Housing Association.

Paul has been a partner in a Firm of Architects specialising in housing for several years and has recently worked as an external consultant for BNY Mellon by developing an investment strategy for housing and regeneration.
