Ever since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant James has been advising people and businesses in financial difficulty, seeing many of them thrive as a result. Nearly 20 years at PwC was followed by setting up the Birmingham office of Begbies Traynor and successively being head-hunted by Moore Stephens and Crowe UK LLP.
In 2011 he created and facilitated the Private Equity backed buyout of an injection moulding business, which has subsequently seen a trade exit. In 2018 he moved on from his insolvency career to focus on strengthening businesses and enhancing their value. This led to investing in a hi-tech videography business; working with an on-line retailer; a National Security and Property Management business; a Chartered Surveying practice; a litigation funder and two property developers, to name a few.
James is a Fellow of the ICAEW and is delighted to be alongside the team that created Social Value Housing.
